Diamond Head

The exclusive and affluent neighborhood of Diamond Head offers some of the finest most sought after Real Estate on the Island of Oahu. There are roughly 500 households with about 1,400 residents living in the Diamond Head neighborhood. With world famous Diamond Head Crater towering 760ft tall in the middle the neighborhood is located just between Waikiki to the west and Kahala to the east. The Diamond Head lighthouse marks about the most southern point of the Island of Oahu. Diamond Head properties offer some gorgeous ocean views, closeness to swimming and surfing beaches, popular Kapiolani Park, Waikiki and the Zoo. Diamond Head property median sales prices have consistantly ranked among the highest of all Oahu neighborhoods.

Black Point

Black Point is wedged on the southern shoreline between Diamond Head and Kahala on a lavarock peninsula off Kahala Ave. Most homes are located in the gated part of Black Point offering some great ocean views and a private saltwater pool on the oceans edge. The oceanfront is rocky with sometimes dramatic wave action.

Kahala

Considered one of the most affluent Oahu communities Kahala is located between Diamond Head and the Waialae Country Club. There are roughly 1,350 housholds with about 3,700 residents living in Kahala. The average interior Kahala property (non oceanfront) sits on a 10,000sqft level lot. Swimming beaches and the Kahala Shopping Mall are in close proximity. The legendary 5-star luxury Kahala Hotel & Resort is set on 800 feet of secluded beach and popular among Kahala residents for it's oceanfront Sunday brunch. There are a total of six beach accesses with three miles of oceanfront and a total of 59 oceanfront properties in Kahala. Kahala Ave oceanfront properties east of Hunakai St offer white sandy beach while west of Hunakai St offer the privacy of a seawall.

Puupanini

Puupanini is a pocket neighborhood nestled between Diamond Head, Kahala and Kaimuki.

Waialae Golf Course

Surrounded by the Waialae Country Club where the famous Sony Open golf tournament takes place and just east of Kahala, the Waialae Golf Course neighborhood features mostly single level homes on generous level lots.

Waialae Iki

Just across from the Waialae Country Club on the mountain side of Kalanianaole Hwy we find the Waialae Iki view ridge neighborhood offering great ocean and golf course views with close proximity to the Kahala Mall. There are about 1,300 households with roughly 3,830 residents living in Waialae Iki. Neighborhood was originally developed in the 1960s. The newest development increment developed by Gentry Homes in the 1980s is located at the highest section of the ridge named Waialae Iki V, featuring a security gate with 24h guard as well as private tennis courts.

Kahala Kua

Kahala Kua is a gated newer view ridge development at the top section of Poola St just east of Waialae Iki. Great ocean views from newer homes built on mostly steep lots.

Kai Nani

Pocket neighborhood of fine homes located just east of the Waialae Country Club.

Most homes are sitting on generous level lots either bordering the golf course or sandy beach. Rarely do homes here become available for sale.

Aina Haina

Well established neighborhood of mostly older homes in a valley community with good size mostly level lots located between the view ridges of Waialae Iki / Kahala Kua to the west and Hawaii Loa Ridge to the east.

(Approximate border streets: West Hind Dr, Hao, Ahuwale, Hind Iuka Dr, Ailuna, Lawelawe, Opihi, Kirkwood, Kalanianaole Hwy)

Hawaii Loa Ridge

The prestigious gated and 24h guarded view ridge neighborhood of Hawaii Loa developed in the early 1980s is located between Aina Haina Valley and Niu Valley, offering custom built homes with average ~4,000 sqft in size, protected view channel lots and private roaming security patrol. Most lots are hilly with gorgeous ocean views. There are about 560 households with roughly 1,750 residents living in Hawaii Loa. A private club house, tennis courts and a play park are part of the community. A second gate at ‘The Pointe’ offers premier west sloping view lots and additional security.

Niu Valley

Well established neighborhood of mostly older homes in a valley community with good size mostly level lots located just east of Hawaii Loa Ridge.

"Leolani" - Kamilo Nui

Small newer Hawaii Kai neighborhood of 60 homes developed in 2004 by Schuler Homes / DR Horton. The homes feature 3-5 bedrooms with 2,200 to 3,100 sqft of living area on 7,500 to 9,000 sqft of mostly level lots. All 5 floorplans feature 2 levels: Rhapsody, Symphony, Toccata, Overture & Maestro.

Koko Villas

Small newer Hawaii Kai neighborhood of 70 homes developed in 2005 by Philip Ho. The homes feature 3-4 bedrooms with 1,950 to 3,150 sqft of living area on 7,000 to 8,000 sqft all level lots. All 'Villa' floorplans feature 10ft ceilings on the ground level, concrete tile roofs and 4ft deep roof overhangs. There are a total of 5 'Villa' floorplans to choose from. Villas 1-4 are single level and Villa 5 features two levels. 11 out of the 70 Villas are bordering the Hawaii Kai golf course.

Portlock

The coveted Portlock neighborhood which only includes Portlock Rd featuring generous size mostly level lots. Henry Kaiser who originally developed all of Hawaii Kai and it's popular marina back in the 1960s built his grand oceanfront estate on a prime seven acre elevated lot at 525 Portlock Rd. The ocean side of Portlock Rd offers spectacular ocean, sunset and Diamond Head views. The 200 to 300-block of Portlock Rd allows beach front living while the 300 to 500-block offers slight elevations and a rocky coastline. There are about 570 households and 1,700 residents living in Portlock & Koko Kai combined. Only 170 of all Portlock & Koko Kai properties are ocean front. Portlock's western ocean exposure makes for comfortable ocean front living since the gentle and omnipresent Hawaii tradewinds blow mainly out of the eastern direction, ...from the land out to the sea.

Koko Kai

Immediately adjacent south of Portlock we find the established hillside neighborhood of Koko Kai with some spectacular ocean, sunset and Diamond Head views. This view neighborhood wedged between the ocean and the base of Koko Head offers some level to some very steep ocean cliff lots with dramatic wave action below. There are about 570 households and 1,700 residents living in Portlock & Koko Kai combined. Only 170 of all Portlock & Koko Kai properties are ocean front. Compared to some other 'newer' view ridge neighborhoods, Koko Kai neighborhood streets for the most part are not too steep and comfortable for walking / strolling & jogging. There are 16ft building height restrictions in Koko Kai.

Triangle

Immediately adjacent east of Portlock and north of Koko Kai we find the established neighborhood of Triangle with the Koko Head Elementary School in the middle. Most home lots are level with only some elevation along the base of Koko Head offering some ocean, sunset and Diamond Head views. There are 16ft building height restrictions in the Triangle neighborhood.
